MAYA BOURGEOIS

Maya Bourgeois (1970-) is a self-taught artist with a passion for visual arts and travel.

In 2021, the health crisis gave her the opportunity to devote herself fully to painting, marking the beginning of her early works.

In 2022, she presented her first exhibition in Montpellier, where she unveiled abstract, colorful, and calligraphic paintings on paper.

A versatile artist, Maya also explores screen printing and photography.

In 2024, she organized her first photography exhibition entitled "Imaginary Canopy," which explores the theme of trees in urban environments. This project serves as a poignant plea for the preservation of our green spaces, while highlighting their fragility. She continued to develop this series in 2025, enriched by her travels and documentary work.

With degrees in tourism and art history, Maya lives and works in South part of France where she pursues her artistic exploration with a sensitive and committed vision.
