TRANSFORMATION is inspired by Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis and explores the fragile boundaries of identity, change and the human condition.
The human figure appears fragmented and transformed, caught between recognition and the unknown. Rather than illustrating Kafka’s story literally, the painting uses metamorphosis as a metaphor for the changes we experience within ourselves and in relation to the world around us.
Painted in acrylic on canvas, the work is built through strong primary colours, expressive forms and a deliberately raw visual language. The contrast between red, blue and yellow creates tension and movement, while the fragmented figure suggests a state of uncertainty and transformation.
The work invites the viewer to question where identity begins and ends, and what remains of us when everything familiar starts to change.
