Matematiche emotive is part of the series Equilibri sbilanciati, a body of work that explores balance as a fragile and shifting condition.

For this piece, the canvas was intentionally broken before the painting process began. Its surface was then reshaped, and once the composition was completed, it was stitched with wool. The seam remains visible, becoming an essential part of the work rather than a hidden repair.

Through acrylic, charcoal, and stitching, the painting brings together structure and vulnerability, control and rupture. The title, Matematiche emotive, refers to the different emotional and material forces that hold the image together: unstable logics, fragile systems, and forms of balance built through transformation.

What emerges is not a perfect equilibrium, but a temporary one — a surface marked by tension, recovery, and care.
