This work, titled "Sea Storm", presents a seascape that borders on abstraction, focusing more on atmosphere and color than on realistic detail. I painted a strip of intense pink and reddish color that acts as a visual separator. This color choice is bold, as it breaks with the naturalism of the landscape and provides a very strong emotional vibration that was my goal. The combination of the turquoise blue of the water with the magenta/pink of the earth creates a contrast of complementary (or almost complementary) colors that makes the horizon line seem to "vibrate".
The goal is not to copy a photograph of the sea, but to convey the "feeling" of the storm in the distance. The painting wants to generate a sense of tense calm. While the sea and sky have cool, calm tones, the central reddish stripe suggests that "something is happening" on the horizon, creating a contained energy in the landscape.
