Luca Rota

Luca Rota is a Calabrian artist transplanted to Lombardy. Born in Rogliano (Cs) in November 1985, he has lived and worked in the Brescia area since December 2016. He teaches English at middle school and, besides painting, is involved in poetry (he has published 4 collections), fiction, and journalism. PunkAstrattismo is the neologism he coined to describe his art: a vivid, vibrant painting, seasoned with rhythmic marks pressed onto the canvas with immediacy. A lively art, devoted to the pursuit of light and emotion, born of a path in constant evolution. An anarchic, personal abstractionism, made of color, freedom of execution, forms, lines, and instinct: these are the cornerstones of his artistic research.
