EVERYONE LIKES IT, EVERYONE EATS IT presents bread as an essential food and as an element that brings together people, animals and different forms of life.
At the centre of the composition, a woman wearing traditional clothing, a shawl and a headscarf is kneading bread. Her presence refers to tradition, manual work and the transmission of practices passed down through generations.
Around her, several human and animal figures create a composition in which different beings share the same space. In the lower left corner, fire represents the transformation necessary for the production of bread. On the lower right, a figure with outstretched hands introduces the idea of need, dependence and the search for sustenance.
The painting uses warm and primary colours, creating an intense atmosphere connected to tradition and everyday life. The different figures and elements intersect within a dynamic composition, with bread remaining the point of connection between them all.
EVERYONE LIKES IT, EVERYONE EATS IT speaks of bread not only as food, but as a symbol of sharing, sustenance and dignity. The work brings different beings together through a common need and reminds us that what nourishes us can also be what unites us.
