Charles Harrop-Griffiths
Charles Harrop-Griffiths is a London-based multidisciplinary artist working across engraved and gilded surfaces, photography, digital composition and XR environments. His work explores how technology shapes identity, belief and the way we see, often borrowing the materials and language of historical devotional art for a contemporary, secular world.
He studied History of Art at the University of Nottingham before completing an MA in Fine Art Digital at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL. A background in real-time 3D and architectural visualisation informs his practice, which moves between digital construction and physical making on aluminium, gold leaf and vinyl.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Gazelli Art House in Mayfair, Le Centquatre in Paris, Visionary Projects in Brooklyn and The Loren in Austin. In 2025 he presented Metanoia with Ajani Tucker at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art. He won the South Kiosk Virtual Reality Prize and was longlisted for the Lumen Prize in 2016.
