Ivanna Shmeleva
Ivanna Shmeleva was born in 1990, Bishkek. She graduated from the University with a degree in Architecture and Design. As an artist, she took part in various competitions and exhibitions. Has received awards from the Union of Designers for the best Architectural Graphics. The author held 13 solo exhibitions. Now she lives in Bulgaria, Sofia.
The artist works in various graphic techniques, giving great preference to monochrome drawings made in the classical technique of drawing with a pen and ink, in which the expressiveness of lines is achieved by the contrast of rich dark ink and a white background. She often uses mixed media to create polychrome graphic works. In her work, the artist often refers to the theme of urban landscape, revealing the specifics and features of architectural structures and ensembles. She also works a lot on stylized forms of flowers and plants. Ivanna is actively involved in exhibitions, creating thematic expositions.
