Sana Nizami
Sana Nizami, a distinguished graduate of the National College of Arts in 2008, has been passionately advancing her artistic practice in Islamabad. With a specialization in Sculpture and a focus on human anatomy, she has cultivated a profound understanding of three-dimensional forms, which is eloquently reflected in her work. Sana furthered her education at the Hast-O-Neest Institute of Traditional Arts and Studies, where she delved into Traditional Islamic Arts and Philosophy, training as an Islamic miniature painting practitioner. She currently imparts her knowledge by conducting traditional miniature painting classes at Hast-O-Neest Islamabad, while actively engaging in various miniature painting projects.
My artistic expression:
“This world is a world of Symbols, inasmuch as it contains nothing which is not a symbol. A man should at least understand what it means... because without such understanding he would fail to understand himself,” as Martin Lings eloquently expressed in ‘Symbols and Archetype.’ My artistic journey revolves around unraveling the meaning of our existence by exploring the symbolic significance of simple elements. Nature, with its trees, clouds, streams, wind, and stars, draws me in and helps me find my center.
