Born in the Netherlands but with roots coming from Aruba, I have embarked on my artist journey during the pandemic in 2020. My practices revolve around my inner world. With my portraits being an expression of my emotions. I work with whatever material is presented to me as I like to experiment and explore various outcomes. My work is never referenced and mostly based on my current feelings.
My inspiration comes from my surroundings and the people in my life. I create art that reflects the beauty and complexity of human emotion. One of the first abilities we develop is to be able to recognize the human face, recognize the basic elements of eyes, nose, mouth. With that being said, my portraits can also reflect dream like creatures or intense feelings of desire and passion.
in these past 3,5 years I have presented my work in various locations around Lisbon with some of them being, Prisma Estudio, Atelier da Graca and Inbloom Art Gallery/Bar. To some my work might seem a bit intense but personally I see my work as a reflection of current and past events that I am not always able to explain in words but perfectly in my visuals. As time passes, my work evolves into different emotions and expression.
